http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/blog/article/8388/    Sad

Is it not about time that America moved away from the gun laws of the 1870's? This sort of thing, kids with guns, happens far too often and no-one seems to do anything about it. Do the pro gun lobby have such control over the inbred corruption that is involved in the running of the country?

Quite the opposite, we are finally seeing recognition of our natural right to keep and bear arms. Our Supreme Court has finally ruled clearly in favor of such rights. Another case pending now will increase such rights. You can look up Heller vs. D.C. for details.

The occasional idiot not withstanding, non-minority civilian American gun owners have an excellent safety record. Leaving a loaded firearm, with a round chambered where small children are playing is an act of blatant stupidity. There are usually additional details that emerge about such cases...convicted felon involvement, drugs, etc.

As an armed citizen, I will do anything required to defend my right to keep and bear arms...of which I have many. Interestingly, when I was buying my HKs, they were a UK company.

Well, coming from the first world I do not have to be armed, nor does the rest of Western Europe to feel safe......wait they are also the first world. Like the vast majority of the first world I have never fired a gun. No matter what your laws say, or how much the pro gun lobby give to corruption, you are living in a backward country when set against the rest of the modern world. When you had the Earps we had Polis, with no guns! Oh, we also had TB etc, but that's another story.

Anyway, fellow fashion model, you coming back? Game better now than when you left, that it was prior LoTR, anyway. Me still upsetting Marie with my 'toon's' gear - wiman, 'they' understand  Big Grin

Wow...that is quite sad.

Imagine having to live with yourself after having made such an awful mistake...

I'm glad I live somewhere where guns aren't the norm.

Highly unlikely I would ever return to AC, on a break from lotro as well. ( RL & PC/internet issues ).

Give me a ( sole remaining ) Superpower over a "first world nation" any day.  Razz

The pro freedom side has basically won the right to keep and bear arms argument here. A whole new area of law was carved out with the Heller decision. The case against Chicago is expected to increase RKBA, and more action is coming.  Thumbs Up

If you think we are bad now, wait until the November elections, and then the 2012 presidential elections. The so called first world will long for the days of Bush 43...muhahaha!  Big Grin Cool Wink

Bummer about not coming back to AC  Sad  I have two toons that need back up.

Nah, we'll just not watch the news on TV or read the internet about more deaths caused by the 'innocent gun' Cool Wink

Bush? He the dummy that cheated Gore? Bet that's a wig on the top of his napper  Shocked

Only go into LoTR now to pay the rent, then again Marie has normally done it for me. Would you still say it's popular (from your last visit) or is it mainly 'hard core' players now?

I would say hardcore. I was getting exhausted, as the end-game has turned into a grind with few rewards. The last expansion was an insult. The lack of storage is what will kill the game though, there just isn't enough at end-game for serious long term players.

Actually Bore tried to steal the election from President Bush ( the democRats are the experts at voter fraud, generally don't see the dead vote for other parties... ).

My English to American is usually pretty good, so no, I don't think he uses a toupee.  Laughing

My main problem with LoTR was that almost every set of quests ended in a fellow - they really missed the boat there. Sure AC has fellow quests, even end game, but the benefits are so small it's not worth the trouble of getting folks. The important ones can be soloed 200+ with a bit of help from rares and that's all good with my play. (Only use both comps when in PoTB with my lowish melees as need a mage to imp to get the 250 Lt kill quest done in 2 hours....gonna have to change that as need mukkir slayer on them too now so will have to run my mages/misiles with them for the two bosses :-( )

You REALLY sure it ain't a wig  Cool Wink

The fellowship issue was a concern for me as well. What I really hated was the quest chains that would start solo, then 4-5 quests in, switch to fellow, and then some even went back to solo. The storage issue, lack of character improvement, being forced into one set of gear & traits, and constant nerfs are more serious imo.

Not 100% sure, you can never trust a politician of any stripe... Laughing

Guns dont kill people.......idiots that leave loaded guns on the table around kids kill people.  I am afraid I side with Ashai on this hands down.

If guns were made illegal the the only people that would have them are the criminals that dont get them legally in the first place.

And we all know you damn brits gave up guns after we thumped your red coats.  You figured if you couldnt use them correctly why have em!  Razz

The young lass was killed because a bullet fired by a gun hit her. Now what part of that is difficult to understand? She was killed by a gun, I really find it hard to understand the pro gun folk. Read the article - she was not killed by a snowball.

Gimp.
